This is a good film but I always felt it never went deep enough into Derrida's actual thought rather than his person. There are some gems in the extras though.
that is exactly what i thought. i was hoping for a visual take on deconstruction, which may be part of the ambience, but did not feel the film makers wanted to disrupt the biographical nature of the narrative. Derrida was one of the most difficult thinkers around. it would have been nice to have some help clarifying his project.
