Signs From the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear

Satire and political humor has it's time and place. That time is now - that place is here. (actually it's stolen from here, but you get the gist)

I actually went to the rally, and let me tell you, it was insane! I mean, the message was sane, so that's good, but the crowd was insane! We broke the metro ridership record, and had standing room only on the National Mall. Sadly, I couldn't see the stage or any of the screens, but I could hear okay for most of it. I saw some pretty amazing signs too - my favorite "WWFD - What Would Fred Do?" and a picture of Fred Rogers. On the back it had a quote:

"We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It's easy to say "It's not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem." Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes."

I'll post some videos and more thoughts on my blog soon. I've been kinda sick, and really busy so I haven't had time/energy yet.

That's cool you were able to get out there. I bet it was good to be around so many sane-ists.

I'll keep an eye out for a future post on the event.

Feel better!
